HOW MUCH DOES A SINGLE CARAMEL WEIGH?
Since our caramels are handmade, the weight may vary. A caramel weighs between 6 and 8 grams.
HOW DO I BEST STORE THE CARAMELS?
Our caramels are of course made from the best raw materials, without added preservatives – only sugar is used here. That is why all our caramel products have a shelf life of 12 months from production, if stored correctly. Therefore, make sure to store them dry, dark and cool (between 12 and 18 degrees), to ensure you get the soft, chewy gourmet caramels we are known for.
ARE THERE ALLERGENS IN YOUR CARAMELS?
Yes, there may be allergens. Our caramels contain milk and may contain peanuts, hazelnuts and soy. They may also contain traces of sesame and other nuts.
IS THERE GLUTEN IN YOUR CARAMELS?
No, there isn't. All of our caramels are gluten-free, so you can eat them without any problems.
DO YOU USE SUSTAINABLE PALM KERNEL OIL?
Yes, we do, we have chosen to use RSPO-certified palm kernel oil. RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) focuses on protecting nature. The establishment of new plantations must not be at the expense of valuable forests and the use of pesticides must be limited. In addition, companies must demonstrate social responsibility towards their workers, who, for example, must be allowed to join a union.
IS YOUR FAT VEGETABLE?
Yes, that's it, the fat we use in our caramels is vegetable palm kernel oil.
IS YOUR EMULSIFIER VEGETABLE?
Yes, the emulsifier we use is vegetable. An emulsifier is used to make ingredients “stick together”.
ARE THE CARAMELIES PRODUCED IN GUDHJEM?
Yes, some of our summer season is produced in Gudhjem and the rest in production in Rønne.
WHEN DID THE CARAMEL COMPANY OPEN?
We opened on May 18, 2004 and every year we celebrate our birthday with some super good caramel offers.
DO YOU HAVE MORE STORES?
We have two stores. The store in Gudhjem is our heart and the first store we opened in 2004. In the fall of 2013 we opened our second store in Rønne.
In addition, there are approximately 310 stores around Denmark that sell our caramels.
